Wisdom Betrayed

I ordered this book and it was "Super Fast Shipping" Never had anything to get here so fast. Super sonic fast. Like one day. I was asked where I wanted it to be left, said to leave at front door, and that is where it was today. Book in great shape, Can't wait to get to reading it.

It Don't Get Any Better
As a pastor, I found the book to have a strong biblical base, and as a fan of stories, I found it to be intriguing and entertaining. The "behind the scenes" look at the characters involved and their reactions to the events unfolding were captivating. It was very much like being there. It is an easy read that is difficult to put down once you begin. I believe God gave us an imagination to use in constructive ways, and the author has done just that in this one of a kind book, as the characters come to life in ways that relate to each of us today. I highly recommend this book to everyone, and especially to those who would like to delve deeper into the "story behind the story" that is David and Bathsheba. Craig Atherton

Informative and Entertaining
I found this book very engaging, interesting and an easy read. The characters are well developed and story line is easy to follow. The author takes the well known story of David and Bathsheba and adds his interesting perspective on what could have taken place behind the scenes of the story we are familiar with. Once I started the book, I couldn't put it down until finished. You actually feel like you right there with the characters as the story develops. As well as entertaining and interesting, this book also leaves you with an important message regarding relationships.

Great Read
An interesting look at a well-known story, but with a special focus on characters and details that often escape our attention. The character of Ahithophel is deserving of much closer study, and Don Clifford does a great job of creating a plausible explanation of the motivations and actions of the biblical characters. This is fiction (because it is speculative and in the form of a novel) but it is thoroughly grounded in the biblical text. (Full disclosure - I was able to read the text in draft as it was developed)

Fascinating story
It's a political drama AND a truly unlikely love story. And it's in the Bible. Readers of Mesu Andrews, Francine rivers and Jill Eileen Smith will enjoy it!

Great soulful retelling
I knew the story of David and Bathsheba and this book gave me some different ideas about what may have been happening behind the scenes. Once I started reading I started getting into the story and couldn't put the book down until I finished it.
